It was mere 21 degrees when the community gathered to remember Pearl Harbor Day. The ceremony was held on the Mtn Grove, Mo Public Square at the flagpole. Old Glory and the POW/MIA flags were quickly hoisted to the peak during “To the Colors”, remained there during “The Star Spangled Banner” and then slowly lowered during “Taps”.
There were six (6) members of the Mtn Grove VFW, seven (7) members of the Auxiliary and four (4) members of the community at the ceremony, including one World War II veteran.
The photos in the brief slideshow below were taken just after the ceremony concluded.
